Electricity Procurement

Are you the procurement agent/officer/manager for your company?

If so, we’re accustomed to working with you.  While ElectricChoice.com offers residential and commercial electric rates directly through and on our website, we’ve been working directly with procurement departments in larger companies since our company was founded in 2002.  We’re extremely familiar with energy procurement and process methodology for large clients.

Should I attempt to procure energy through the website?

For the unaware, ElectricChoice.com is an electricity marketplace — we help home/business owners to shop and compare electricity rates and plans in their area.  Many can then signup directly online.  Even some larger companies (and governments) get curious and enter their zip to take a peak to see what type of rates and plans are being offered in their area.

That being said, if you’re a larger energy customer (think an electric bill of $2,000+ a month), we can probably get lower, custom pricing for you if you let us do the work for you.  We can go directly to providers and have them compete for the right to earn your business.  If you’d like to talk to us to see what kind of custom pricing we can get for you, call us at 800.977.4020.

What’s the procurement process like?

Once you contact us, we’ll request some basic information about your company and its energy needs.  With your permission, we’ll then contact your current energy provider to get your exact usage details — we use this to shop your procurement request over to different electricity providers so they can compete for your business.  It’s a simple, effective process for you.

I need to procure electricity in Pennsylvania.  Can you procure energy in all states?

Texas, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Illinois, and New Jersey are popular deregulated states where we’re licensed to procure energy (though that’s not all!).  Since starting in Texas in 2002, we’ve helped thousands of companies procure electricity and natural gas.

If your company is fortunate enough to be in a deregulated area, the potential savings if you’re able to lower your current electric rate a point or two can be huge.

What other procurement related services do you offer?

For larger commercial clients, we offer an array of services including demand management, power factor correction, predominant use studies, and more.
