Each essay submitted prior to the scholarship entry deadline (April 30, 2016, at 11:59:59 PM Central) will be reviewed by a team of employees of ElectricChoice.com. TWO WINNERS will be chosen and notified via e-mail. The full name of said winners, as well as the winning essays, will be published on ElectricChoice.com/scholarship on May 31, 2016 by 5 PM Central time.
Here are a few things you should know before submitting your essay:
- Applicant must be a U.S. citizen. Employees (and members of their immediately family) of ElectricChoice.com, its partners, affiliates, and parent company are not eligible to win.
- Upon being notified of winning, the winning applicants must be able to prove acceptance and admittance into an accredited college or university for the 2016-2017 school year.
- The $500 scholarships will come in the form of a check written directly to the winning applicant’s school. It will be disbursed by ElectricChoice.com’s parent company no later than July 15, 2016. While the check will be written and mailed by July 15, 2016, we cannot anticipate or guarantee any arrival/processing dates at your school.
- This contest is void where prohibited.
- Odds of winning are based on the amount of entries we receive. We will choose two winners for the scholarship out of the entirety of entries.
- All essays submitted become the full property of ElectricChoice.com and may be re-used or re-published without attribution or prior notification for absolutely any reason.
- ElectricChoice.com will contact the winners on May 31, 2016 through the e-mail provided to us during essay submission. If a chosen scholarship winner fails to reply to this e-mail or contact us within 72 hours, or is disqualified upon contact for any reason (cannot prove school admission), we have the right to choose an alternate winner.
