your local utility delivers all electricity in Easton. As the regulated EDC for this area, your local utility owns and maintains every pole, wire, transformer, and meter. Regardless of which EGS (Electric Generation Supplier) you choose for supply, your local utility delivers your power and handles all outage response. Your supplier only affects your rate and billing.
Compare plans from 34 PA PUC-certified providers, choose a EGS (Electric Generation Supplier), and enroll online or by phone. The new supplier coordinates the transition with your local utility automatically. The switch typically completes within 1–2 billing cycles with no service interruption — no technician visit or equipment changes required. Your power stays on throughout the entire process.
Many Easton electricity providers offer plans with renewable energy content sourced from wind and solar facilities connected to the PJM grid. Plans with higher renewable percentages use Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs) to offset your consumption. Same your local utility delivery, same reliability. Pricing is often comparable to conventional plans, and no home modifications are required.
In Easton, your local utility delivery charges are regulated by the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission (PA PUC) and apply uniformly to all customers. These fees cover the physical grid — poles, wires, transformers, meters, and outage crews. Plan rates advertised on comparison sites generally include delivery charges already. The Disclosure Statement for every plan shows the exact split between supply costs and your local utility’s delivery fees.
A fixed-rate plan in Easton locks your per-kWh supply rate for the contract term, shielding you from PJM wholesale price swings. Variable plans may start lower but can increase monthly without notice. With Easton fixed rates starting at 9.79¢/kWh, locking in during mild-weather months gives most households more predictable bills and lower overall costs.
