Atlantex Power is a Texas retail electricity brand operated by Atlantic Energy Texas LLC, holding PUCT certificate #10335. Atlantic Energy has been serving customers since 2012 across eleven states for electricity and seven states for natural gas. In March 2025, Atlantic Energy completed the acquisition of customer accounts from Flagship Power and JUICE, transferring them to its Texas brands AE Texas and Atlantex Power. Why do Atlantex Power rates differ by territory?
Each TDU (Transmission and Distribution Utility) charges different delivery rates that are passed through to your bill. The same Atlantex Power plan can cost several cents more per kWh in one territory vs. another because of these delivery charge differences.
How long are Atlantex Power electricity contracts?
Plan terms range from 10 to 12 months. Fixed-rate contracts lock in your energy rate for the full term. If you need to cancel early, expect an early termination fee — current ETFs: 12-month plan: $150; 10-month plan: $20; 12-month plan: $20.
How do I switch to Atlantex Power?
Choose a plan and enroll online or by calling their customer service line. Your new provider coordinates the switch with your TDU — power stays on during the changeover, typically within 1-3 business days.
